This image is a complete rework of one of my previous submissions. I've reused the stacked raw files and sharpened them using blind image deconvolution (BID). No other sharpness-enhancing techniques have been used.
In all the image consists of 36 smaller images. Those images have been generated by taking uncompressed movie sequences (as seen here: [link]
) and then aligning each frame so the features match. This way the airy noise called "seeing" is being lowered by a huge amount. Finally after sharpening all images have to be aligned manually and the edges of each sub-image need to be smoothed. Some white-balancing and color/brightess-correction has been done using Lightroom.
The video footage itself has been recorded using a Philips SPC 900NC (frame size 640x480) mounted on a 250/1250mm (10 inch) newtonian telescope on dobson mount.
