Milky Way Galaxy Global Spherical Map

This is a global map of our milky way galaxy. This map was created using a small programm that I've written for myself. It reads out the Tycho 2 catalog data and than generates a colored map. Star colors are pretty the same as they were in real. I will upload a higher resolution version soon.

The image is streched at the top of the bottom so it can be used as a seamless spherical texture wrapped around a... sphere.
